Tragically too many victims have lost their lives at the hands of their intimate partner. Whats even more disturbing is that many victims involved in a violent relationship currently may never get the chance to escape. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who have been affected by this violence. Candlelight vigils and silent prayers are held in remembrance of these victims.The following  list of homicides have occured in North Carolina. A Prayer For The Victims

Most High our souls mourn for the lives that were suddenly ended by domestic abuse

We ask that you shed light and understanding to the families of these victims

Where there is hatred, let their be love

Where there is discomfort, let there be peace

Creator of love hear our prayers

For the victims driven from their home by violence and fear

For the victims being emotionally and physically abuse

For the child crying out for help, but no one believes

For the abuse child who cries into their pillow at night with no one to tell

For that woman who believes she has no outlet

For that teen thats suicidal

For the abuser who wants to change

For the abuser who doesnt know how to change

Most High we ask that you created people of strong leadership that can educate the community and help break the cycle

In every sex offender, rapist, and murderer

We pray that the statistics decrease

And the awareness and advocacy increase

 For we dont need another life lost as a result of domestic abuse or sexual assault
